The Russian River ( English for "Russian River") is a left tributary of the Kenai River on the Kenai Peninsula in southern Alaska .

The Russian River flows initially 6km from the the Kenai Mountains situated Upper Russian Lake to the northwest and then turns north. It flows through the Lower Russian Lake and after a total of 21 km about 10 km west of Cooper Landing reaches the Kenai River, which flows west to Skilak Lake . The Russian River has a gradient of 100 m along its route.

The river is known for its salmon . Red salmon migrate twice in summer (mid-June and mid-July) . In August, silver salmon appear on their way to their spawning grounds in the Russian River.
