The Russian Automobile Factory IP Pusyrew ( Russian Русский Автомобильный Завод И. П. Пузырева ) was a Russian manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

The Saint Petersburg company was originally a metal goods factory . In 1899, the production of automobiles began under the direction of Borislaw P. Pusyrew. The brand name was Pusyrew . In 1909 Ivan Pusyrew began developing and producing vehicles based on his own designs. In 1910 he had three employees, in 1912 he had 98. After a fire in January 1914 and the death of Ivan Pusyrew in autumn 1914, vehicle production ended. In total, around 30 or around 40 vehicles were built.

The first models

The first vehicles had single-cylinder engines from Benz . In 1905 a model followed with a two-cylinder engine with a displacement of 1600 cm³ .

Four-cylinder models

From 1911 onwards, large automobiles with four-cylinder engines were built .

23/32

The 23/32 model was on offer from 1911 to 1912 and had an engine with 5125 cc and 32 hp . The transmission had four gears. The wheelbase was 295 cm. The maximum speed was given as 70 km / h.

28/35

In the prototype 28/35 from 1911, an engine with a capacity of 5130 cm³ and a power of 35 hp provided the drive. The transmission had three gears. With a wheelbase of 300 cm, the vehicle was 412 cm long. The top speed was also 70 km / h.

A 28/40

In the A 28/40 model from 1912 to 1914, the engine had 6325 cc and 40 hp. The maximum speed was specified as 80 km / h or 90 km / h, the curb weight with 1900 kg. With a wheelbase of 332 cm, the vehicle length was 470 cm. The vehicle offered space for 5 to 7 people.
