Kombat Armoring Group is a Russian manufacturer of motor vehicles from Saint Petersburg .
Company history
The company was founded in 1985 as a vehicle design studio. Mikhail Gorbachev was involved in the establishment. The company has specialized in armored vehicles since 1993.
vehicles
Two copies were made of the first prototype Laura . The coupés were powered by a Lada engine that drove the front wheels.
In 1987 the Ohta prototype followed , which was exhibited at the Geneva Motor Show . This was a Lada-based minivan , again with front-wheel drive .
The Luas Proto was the first prototype with all-wheel drive .
1990 followed pilot with all-wheel drive and the coupe Laura that of a in vehicle center -mounted built-in motor of Audi was driven.
Between 1995 and 1998 some kit cars named Laura 3 based on the Pontiac Fiero were built .
From 1998 the all-wheel drive Kanonir was available, which was only manufactured on customer request. It was offered in pickup and station wagon body styles . A motor with a capacity of 3000 cm³ provided the drive .
Armored vehicles
A well-known product is the heavily armored T-98 passenger car , which is available in bulletproof classes B2 to B7. Outwardly it is reminiscent of money transporters . The need for such a vehicle resulted from the security situation for the wealthy part of the Russian population. The special equipment includes, among other things, 5 cm thick bulletproof glass , steel cladding and a raised interior. With a weight of just under four tons, the fuel consumption is 25 to 35 l / 100 km.
The T-98 is available as a pickup and a station wagon.
