Ruth heart
Ruth Herz (born October 27, 1944 in Jerusalem ) is a German judge , specialist author and actress .
Life
Ruth Herz is the daughter of a Jewish lawyer from Breslau who fled the Nazis to Palestine in 1933. Your mother is Israeli . In the post-war years, the parents returned to Germany.
After completing a degree in interpreting ( French and German ), she studied law in Geneva , Munich and Cologne . After graduating from university and passing the state exams , she was awarded her doctorate cum laude .
Herz has been a judge since 1974 and has published several specialist books. In 1998 she was awarded the Federal Cross of Merit on ribbon. It does well in establishing the victim-offender balance , in which juvenile convicts who have harmed other people in a crime sit down with the victim and two supervisors to come to terms with the injustice committed. Herz has two children, including the architect Manuel Herz , and three grandchildren. In 1995 her first husband, Thomas Aage Herz , who was a professor of sociology at the University of Siegen, died. Today she is married to Gabriel Gorodetsky , an Israeli historian.
From September 2001 to September 2005 was as lead actress (Presiding Judge Dr. Ruth heart) in the RTL - Court show the juvenile court to see. She is also an appointed expert in criminal law at the Council of Europe .
Herz left her TV judge's seat in September 2005 and followed a call from Oxford University where she led a research project on media and justice.
