Ruth Vorster-Lommel (born May 6, 1918 in Breslau ; † June 22, 2012 in Mönchengladbach ) was a German actress . She is the daughter of Ludwig Manfred Lommel and the sister of Ulli and Manuel Lommel . She was married to the industrialist, racing driver and Grenzlandring racing organizer Emil Vorster from Rheydt from 1956 until his death in 1976.

life and work

Ruth Lommel completed her acting lessons with Eleonore Ehm and then started her career as an actress at Berlin cabarets and variety theaters. As an actress, she made her debut in front of a film camera in Hubert Marischka's Top and Bottom in 1939 and became a sought-after actress who took part in various well-known productions until the end of the Second World War , such as in The Swedish Nightingale and My Friend Josefine .

After the war ended, she continued her film career until the late 1950s, when she finally retired into private life. Ruth Lommel was buried on June 29, 2012 in the north cemetery in Mönchengladbach-Rheydt.
