action

Hardly have the two Munich traffic police officers Alois Gallenmüller and Toni Wimser enjoyed their well-deserved retirement for a few weeks when they think wistfully back to their previous service on the busy Stachus . Even the regular shopping at the Viktualienmarkt only tempts the two to take a critical look at their successors. One day they discover a poster on which there is talk of a theft and a reward of 10,000 DM. Immediately they set to work to solve the case. But someone else is interested in finding a solution: the Berlin private detective Willibald Knaake, whose son Kurt has his eyes on Alois' little daughter Christel, which Alois doesn't like at all.

But first it is important to inspect the crime scene. It is located at Hohenstein Castle, where Rudolf the Bold's sword and other valuable antiques have disappeared. There they notice the elegant lady Lilo Weißmantel, whom they immediately suspect to be the perpetrator's accomplice. Soon the Berlin detective also arrives at the crime scene. After a heated argument between the three investigators, they decide to make common cause from now on. The trail left by the Weißmantel leads to Hamburg.

Disguised as sailors, the detectives in a harbor bar watch the Weissmantel couple talking to the suspicious Mister Palmer. With a trick you can find out his address: Pension Hanselmann. Knaake manages to get the landlady involved in a long conversation with his loudmouth from Berlin. Meanwhile the others search Palmer's rooms. It doesn't take long to find the missing sword, either. Suddenly, however, Palmer is in the door, accompanied by two tough guys. Only a few minutes later, the two intruders were tied up in helpless packages. When Knaake finally comes into the room and frees his comrades-in-arms, the crooks have long since moved away. The detective trio suspects the thieves on their way to the port. Therefore it is said: quickly afterwards! But with the ship that has just departed, her hope also disappears.

Ultimately, the detectives are still lucky. The young Knaake followed them, and he managed to lure the criminals into a trap. Moved by this act, Alois gives the young man his blessing on the marriage to his daughter Christel.
