Ruth Nivón Machoud (born August 21, 1990 in Oaxaca ) is a former Mexican-Swiss triathlete . In 2009 she was a member of the Swiss national team in the Olympic Distance team and later started again for Mexico.

Career

Since 2006 Nivón Machoud took part in ITU competitions.

Junior World Champion Aquathlon 2007

In May 2007 she won the Junior Aquathlon World Championship for Switzerland. In 2008 she became junior vice world champion duathlon. In September 2008 she was runner-up in the junior world championship in Rimini, Italy, and seventh at the European Triathlon Championships in 2009.

In 2009, Ruth Nivón Machoud won a case against the Mexican Triathlon Association, which did not want Nivon to participate in the Olimpiada Nacional after she had told the ITU that she wanted to compete internationally for Switzerland from March 31, 2009.
In 2010 she was eighth in the triathlon middle distance at Ironman 70.3 (Asia-Pacific Championship) in Phuket. In France, Nivón Machoud started in the D1 club championship series Lyonnaise des Eaux for the club TCC 36 in 2011.

Ruth Nivón Machoud lives in Mexico ( Oaxaca ) and Switzerland ( Fully , Canton of Valais ). Your mother, Dr. Corinne Machoud, is a Spanish teacher and triathlon trainer, her father, Dr. Sergio Nivón, is a doctor. Together they run the “San Felipe Academy” in Oaxaca.

Since August 2013 she starts again in Mexico for the team TBB.

National Champion Long Distance Triathlon 2014

In November 2014 she became the Mexican champion in the long distance triathlon (1.9 km swimming, 90 km cycling and 21 km running). It has not appeared in international results lists since 2015.
