Ryō Tanaka ( Japanese 田中 遼 , Tanaka Ryō ; born April 22, 1987 in Sapporo , Hokkaidō ) is a Japanese ice hockey player who has been under contract with the Tōhoku Free Blades from the Asia League Ice Hockey since 2010 .

Career

Ryō Tanaka began to play ice hockey while at school at Hokkai High School in Sapporo. In the 2009/10 season he played for Meiji University and then moved to the Tōhoku Free Blades in the Asia League Ice Hockey , where he has been on the ice since then. With the team from Hachinohe he was able to win this Asian professional league in 2011, 2013 and 2015.

International

For Japan, Yanadori took part in the junior division of the U18 World Cup in Division I in 2005 .

With the Japanese men's team , he was on the ice for the first time at the 2012 World Cup in Division I. In the following year and in 2015 he was also active in Division I for his country.
