Rytis Paulauskas

Rytis Paulauskas (born May 24, 1969 in Vilnius ) is a Lithuanian administrative lawyer and diplomat .

Life

After graduating from the Salomėja Nėris Middle School in Vilnius in 1987 , he graduated from the Vilniaus universitetas with a law degree in 1992 . From 2000 to 2001 he studied with the Fulbright Scholarship in the master’s program at the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University . Paulauskas has been working in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania since 1991 . He was head of a sub-department, from 1995 to 1996 a consultant in New York , from 1996 to 1999 deputy representative, from 2001 department director, from 2008 ambassador . From April 2012 to 2016 he was permanent representative at the UN in Geneva .
