Sóc Trăng is a city in Vietnam . It is the capital of the province of the same name Sóc Trăng . The city has around 174,000 inhabitants.

Administrative structure

Sóc Trăng is divided into ten districts, which are numbered from 1 to 10. The city borders Long Phú in the northeast, Mỹ Xuyên in the south, Chau Thành in the west and Mỹ Tú in the northwest. Alternative names for the city are Sók Trăng, Khánh Hồng and Khánh Hưng.

In addition to Kinh, there is a Chinese ( Hoa ) and a Khmer minority.

Buildings

50 of the 200 pagodas in the Sóc Trăng Province are located in the city. The most famous are the Khmer Chùa Dơi and the Chùa Đất Sét .

traffic

With Ho Chi Minh City , Can Tho , Ca Mau and other cities Sóc Trăng is through the National Road 1 , respectively. There are also regular bus connections to these cities. The nearest airport is Can Tho .
