The Söderhamns FF is a Swedish football club in Söderhamn . The club was founded in 1986 when the football department of the former second division Söderhamns IF broke away from the club.
history
Söderhamns IF was founded in 1896 as a football , ski and athletics club.
The football team rose in 1931 to the third division and missed the direct march into the second division only because of the poorer goal difference against Brynäs IF . In the following years the team established itself in the front area of the league and reached the promotion playoffs in 1936, in which they failed at IFK Grängesberg . Then she slipped into midfield and rose in 1940 together with GIF Sundsvall from the third division. After the rise, the team stayed in the league until the mid-1940s before relegated again.
In 1954 the soccer team of Söderhamns IF managed to get promoted again, but had to relegate again two years later. Two years later, the club reported back as the season winner in the third division and was able to establish itself directly in the front area. In 1961 he was the season winner in Division 3 Södra Norrland and rose to the second division. In Division 2 Norrland , the team finished sixth, leaving Gimonäs CK , Bodens BK , IFK Kalix and Skellefteå IF behind. Also in the following year Gimonäs CK, Bollnäs GIF and Norsjö IF managed to stay in the league before the team was one of the two relegated teams in their third year together with IFK Luleå .
The Söderhamns IF soccer team won the relay straight away. In the subsequent promotion round, however, the team failed to Domsjö IF . In the following years she could not build on the successes, rose in 1971 in the fourth and 1978 in the fifth class. After the direct promotion, the team established itself in the front division. In 1983 she briefly returned to the third division, but had to be relegated again.
In January 1986, the football department split from the entire club and gave itself the name "Söderhamns FF" as an independent club. The club played in the fourth league level until 1989, before moving between fourth and fifth leagues in the following years. In 1996 the team finished second in the fourth division Divisison 3 Södra Norrland , but failed in the promotion games. The following year he returned to the third division as a season winner. After a midfield place in the first year, the club occupied a relegation place in 1999, but managed the direct promotion. In 2002 the team was relegated again. The following year succeeded as the season runner-up in the promotion round, here the team failed at Tyresö FF . In 2005, the club was victim of a league reform and rose from fifth in the table in the fifth division. After being promoted again in 2007, the team rose in 2009 as bottom of the table again from Division 2 .
