The sixth South Asian Football Federation Championship , officially South Asian Football Federation Cup in 2005 , was held from 7 to 17 December 2005 in Karachi in Pakistan instead. Eight South Asian nations took part in the tournament. India became South Asian champions in 2005 with a 2-0 win over defending champions Bangladesh . It was the first SAFF Cup since 1995 in which no third place was determined.

venue

The Pakistani metropolis of Karachi was chosen as the venue for the 2005 South Asian Cup . It was Pakistan's second alignment of the South Asian Football Federation Cup after 1993 in Lahore . The venue for all tournament games was the Peoples Football Stadium in Lyari Town .
