The SC Riederau is a sports club founded in 1976 in the town of Riederau on the west bank of the Ammersee . He has become known nationwide in particular for his triathlon department . Both the women's and men's teams were among the founding members of the 1st Bundesliga . Numerous top triathletes from Hawaii winners to German champions and national team athletes such as Faris Al-Sultan , Ute Schäfer , Joelle Franzmann and others. a. have since started in the SC Riederau jersey.

Since 2004 , the athletes of the SC Riederau have had a new main sponsor in the Erdinger brewery and compete as the Erdinger alcohol-free team SC Riederau .
