Sabine Beuter

Sabine Beuter , (born September 10, 1949 in Hanau ; † August 28, 2015 in Berlin ) was a German painter .

Life

After studying architecture at the Technical University of Berlin and fine arts at the HdK Berlin (1981), Sabine Beuter worked as a freelance architect until 1998. She practiced her artistic activity at the same time as architecture, initially in the form of watercolor and gouache painting. From the mid-1980s she then concentrated on oil on canvas painting and worked as a freelance painter in Berlin and Liguria (Italy) until 2015 . The artist died of the consequences of the ALS disease in Berlin in 2015.

In addition to works on paper ( watercolors and gouache ), Sabine Beuter's works are mostly oil on canvas works in sizes from 50 × 60 to 200 × 250 cm. A specially developed technique to incorporate gold leaf into the pictures can be found in numerous works. The artist's works are divided into five series: women, immersion in color, gold, flora, light and dark and comprise more than 1900 works. As an active member of the Association of Berlin Artists (VBK) and european artists eV and through participation in numerous symposia such as European Artists and World Art Delft, numerous joint and solo exhibitions have arisen. In cooperation with BMW and her godfather Miroslav Nemec , her art was published in the 2010 BMW Art Advent Calendar . Your last significant exhibition took place at Gallery Weekend Berlin 2015. Her pictures have been exhibited internationally in Egypt , Italy , Greece , the Netherlands and the USA .
