Sabine Naderer-Jelinek

Sabine Naderer-Jelinek (born March 19, 1981 as Sabine Naderer ) is an Austrian politician of the Social Democratic Party of Austria (SPÖ). Since 2019 she is mayor of the town of Leonding .

Life

Sabine Naderer-Jelinek studied journalism and political science at the University of Salzburg , where she earned her Dr. phil. PhD . She worked for the Rundschau , for Life Radio , for the chamber news of the Austrian Chamber of Commerce , the press and public relations work in the Ministry of Social Affairs under Erwin Buchinger and the online editing of the Chamber of Labor Upper Austria .

In February 2013, under the then mayor Walter Brunner, she became first vice mayor in Leonding , where she also acts as committee chairwoman for Youth, Family, Education and SPÖ city party chairwoman. On February 20, 2019, she took over the official business as executive mayor from Walter Brunner on an interim basis. On May 26, 2019, she was elected mayor of Leonding in the first round with around 51 percent against four other applicants . In January 2020 she was nominated by the board as successor to Hermann Krist for the district party chairmanship.

Naderer-Jelinek is a member of the social welfare association Linz-Land and the district waste association, she is a board member of the women's shelter in Linz, a member of the supervisory board of Kultur GmbH Leonding and a member of the delegates' assembly of the Upper Austrian insurance company .
