Sabine Stüber
Sabine Ursula Stüber (born November 11, 1953 in Prenzlau ) is a German politician of the Die Linke party . From 2009 to 2013 she was a member of the German Bundestag .
biography
Stüber passed her Abitur in 1972 at the workers and farmers faculty in Halle. She then studied until 1977 in the Soviet Rostov-on-Don , where she trained as an agricultural machinery engineer. After completing her studies, she worked in the Kombinat Progress , and in the mid-1980s she switched to the Institute for Plant Protection Research in Eberswalde . From 1992 to 2005 she was employed in the program for equality for women, which is supported by the European Social Fund. From 2005 to 2007 she was the project coordinator for the integration of the long-term unemployed, initially at Barnim and since the beginning of 2009 at Rural Employment Promotion Prenzlau .
Political party
Stüber became a member of the SED in the early 1980s . Since 2007 she has been deputy chairwoman of the Barnim district association of the Die Linke party.
Public offices
From 1990 to 2003 Stüber was a member of the district council of the Barnim district . From 1999 to 2008 she acted as the second or first spokeswoman for the Women's Political Council of the State of Brandenburg. She has been a city councilor in Eberswalde since 2008. Between 2008 and 2011 she was a member of the Advisory Board for Migration and Integration of the Barnim District, but was voted out of office in the recent direct election of this body.
In the parliamentary elections September 27, 2009 , she moved as a direct candidate 058 in the constituency Uckermark - Barnim I in the German Bundestag one. There she achieved 32% of the first votes and thus clearly prevailed over the competitors of the SPD and CDU. In 2013, however, she lost the direct mandate to Jens Koeppen from the CDU. At the moment she would be the second replacement for a member of the Left from Brandenburg.
