Saint-Avit is a former commune in the Loir-et-Cher department in the Center-Val de Loire region in France . It belonged to the Arrondissement of Vendôme , the canton of Le Perche and was a member of the Collines du Perche commune . Saint-Avit is a commune déléguée in the municipality of Couëtron-au-Perche .

1 January 2018 were Arville , Oigny , Saint-Agil , Saint-Avit and Souday to the municipality ( commune nouvelle ) Couëtron-au-Perche together. Saint-Avit is a commune déléguée with 98 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) within the new municipality.

Saint-Avit is located in the north of the Loir-et-Cher department, about 60 kilometers southwest of Chartres and 60 kilometers east of Le Mans .
