Saint-Martin-des-Champs is a former French community and today's commune Déléguée with 2,370 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Manche in the region of Normandy . It belonged to the Arrondissement of Avranches and the canton of Isigny-le-Buat (until 2015: canton of Avranches ). It was incorporated into Avranches with effect from January 1, 2019 . The inhabitants are called Saint-Martinais .

Saint-Martin-des-Champs is close to the Atlantic coast . Saint-Martin-des-Champs is surrounded by the neighboring towns of Saint-Senier-sous-Avranches in the north, Saint-Loup in the east and southeast, Saint-Quentin-sur-le-Homme in the south and La Val-Saint-Père in the west as well as Avranches in the northwest.
