Sainte-Geneviève-sur-Argence is a former French commune with 986 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Aveyron department in the Occitanie region . As a municipality, it belonged to the Arrondissement of Rodez and the Canton of Aubrac et Carladez (until 2015: Canton of Sainte-Geneviève-sur-Argence ). The inhabitants are called Saint-Genovefains . Since January 1, 2016, Sainte-Geneviève-sur-Argence has been part of the Commune nouvelle Argences en Aubrac .

Sainte-Geneviève-sur-Argence is located about 52 kilometers north-northeast of Rodez . The Truyère delimited the former municipality to the north and west.
