Argences en Aubrac is a municipality in the south of France with 1,646 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Aveyron department in the Occitania region . The place belongs to the former county of Carladès in the historical province of Rouergue . Argences en Aubrac is part of the arrondissement of Rodez and the canton of Aubrac et Carladez (until 2015: canton of Sainte-Geneviève-sur-Argence ).
Argences en Aubrac was formed on January 1, 2016 as Commune nouvelle from the formerly independent communities Alpuech , Graissac , Lacalm , Sainte-Geneviève-sur-Argence , La Terrisse and Vitrac-en-Viadène .
