Murols ( Occitan Muròls ) is a southern French municipality with 113 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Aveyron department in the Occitania region (before 2016 Midi-Pyrénées ). The place belongs to the former county of Carladès in the historical province of Rouergue . Murols is part of the arrondissement of Rodez and the canton of Aubrac et Carladez (until 2015 Mur-de-Barrez ). The inhabitants are called Murolia .

Murols is located about 50 kilometers north-northeast of Rodez . Murols is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Vezels-Roussy in the north, Taussac in the northeast, Lacroix-Barrez in the east and northeast, Saint-Hippolyte in the south and east, Lapeyrugue in the southwest, Ladinhac in the west and Leucamp in the west and northwest.
