Lassouts ( Occitan Las Sots ) is a French commune with 289 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Aveyron département in the Occitania region (before 2016 Midi-Pyrénées ). Administratively it belongs to the Arrondissement of Rodez and is part of the canton of Lot et Palanges (until 2015 Espalion ). The inhabitants are called Lassoutois .
geography
Lassouts is about 38 kilometers east-northeast of Rodez . The Lot delimits the municipality in the north. Lassouts is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Saint-Côme-d'Olt in the north, Castelnau-de-Mandailles in the north and northeast, Sainte-Eulalie-d'Olt in the east and southeast, Palmas d'Aveyron in the south, and Gabriac in the south and west as well as Espalion to the west and northwest.
