Le Cayrol ( Occitan Lo Cairol ) is a commune with 259 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Aveyron in the region Occitania (before 2016 Midi-Pyrenees ) It belongs administratively to Arrondissement Rodez and is part of the canton Lot et Truyère ( until 2015 Espalion ). The inhabitants are called Cayrolais .

Le Cayrol is about 33 kilometers northeast of Rodez . Le Cayrol is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Montpeyroux in the north, Condom-d'Aubrac in the east, Espalion in the south and Coubisou in the west.
