Vimenet is a commune in the French department of Aveyron in the region Occitania . It belongs to the canton of Lot et Palanges (until 2015 canton of Laissac ) in the arrondissement of Rodez . It borders on Pierrefiche in the northwest , Saint-Martin-de-Lenne in the northeast, Sévérac d'Aveyron with Buzeins in the southeast, Gaillac-d'Aveyron in the southwest and Palmas d'Aveyron with Coussergues in the west . The residents call themselves Vimenettois.
