Sévérac d'Aveyron is a French commune with 4,084 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Aveyron département in the Occitanie region . It belongs to the canton of Tarn et Causses and the Arrondissement of Rodez .
It was created as Commune nouvelle with effect from January 1, 2016 through the amalgamation of the former municipalities of Buzeins , Lapanouse , Lavernhe , Recoules-Prévinquières and Sévérac-le-Château , which have the status of a Commune déléguée in the new municipality . The administrative headquarters are in Sévérac-le-Château.

Sévérac d'Aveyron is located around 40 kilometers east of the city center of Rodez in the Grands Causses Regional Nature Park . The Aveyron River and the A75 motorway cross the municipality.
