Saint-Hippolyte ( Occitan : Sent Ipòli ) is a French commune with 435 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Aveyron département in the Occitanie region (before 2016 Midi-Pyrénées ). It belongs administratively to the arrondissement of Rodez and is part of the canton of Lot et Truyère ( Estaing until 2015 ). The inhabitants are called Saint-Hippolytains .

geography

Saint-Hippolyte is about 38 kilometers north of Rodez . The Truyère delimits the municipality to the east. Saint-Hippolyte is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Murols in the north, Lacroix-Barrez in the north-east, Montézic in the east, Campouriez and Entraygues-sur-Truyère in the south, Le Fel in the south and south-west, Montsalvy in the west and south-west and Lapeyrugue in the west.
