Montrozier ( Occitan : Mont Rosièr ) is a French commune with 1,630 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Aveyron department of the Occitania region ; it belongs to the arrondissement of Rodez and the canton of Causse-Comtal . The inhabitants are called Rozimontiens .

geography

Montrozier is about 14 kilometers east-northeast of Rodez in the Causse landscape , south of the Causse du Comtal , on the Aveyron . Montrozier is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Bozouls in the north, Bertholène in the east, Le Vibal in the south, Agen-d'Aveyron in the south-west, La Loubière in the west and Sébazac-Concourès in the north-west.

The national route 88 runs through the municipality .
