Montézic ( Occitan : Montasic ) is a place and a municipality in the south of France with 226 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Aveyron department in the Occitania region . Montézic is part of the arrondissement of Rodez and the canton of Aubrac et Carladez (until 2015: canton of Saint-Amans-des-Cots ). The inhabitants are called Montézicois .

Montézic is about 51 kilometers north-northeast of Rodez . The Truyère flows along the northern and western municipal boundaries . The Réservoir de Montézic (a pumped storage basin) is located in the municipality . Montézic is surrounded by the neighboring communities Lacroix-Barrez in the north, Saint-Symphorien-de-Thénières in the east and north-east, Saint-Amans-des-Cots in the south and east, Campouriez in the south-west and Saint-Hippolyte in the west.
