Castelnau-de-Mandailles ( Occitan Castèlnau de Mandalhas ) is a French commune with 586 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Aveyron department in the Occitania region (before 2016 Midi-Pyrénées ). Administratively it belongs to the Arrondissement of Rodez and is part of the canton of Lot et Palanges (until 2015 Espalion ). The inhabitants are called Castelnauois and Mandaillois .

Castelnau-de-Mandailles is about 39 kilometers east-northeast of Rodez . The Lot delimits the community in the south. Castelnau-de-Mandailles is surrounded by the neighboring communities Condom-d'Aubrac in the north and north-west, Saint-Chély-d'Aubrac in the north and north-east, Prades-d'Aubrac in the east, and Sainte-Eulalie-d'Olt in the south Southeast, Lassouts in the south and southwest and Saint-Côme-d'Olt in the west.
