Mouret ( Occitan : Moret ) is a French commune in the Aveyron département in the Occitania region with 538 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017). The municipality belongs to the arrondissement of Rodez and the canton of Vallon (until 2015: canton of Marcillac-Vallon ). The inhabitants are called Moureteois .

Mouret is located in the Marcillac wine-growing region , part of the Sud-Ouest wine-growing region . Mouret is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Pruines and Saint-Félix-de-Lunel in the north, Villecomtal in the east and northeast, Muret-le-Château in the east and southeast, Salles-la-Source in the south, Marcillac-Vallon in the southwest and Nauviale in the West.
