La Loubière is a French commune with 1,472 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Aveyron département in the Occitanie region ; it belongs to the arrondissement of Rodez and the canton of Causse-Comtal . The administration of the municipality is located in Lioujas , which is in the north of the municipality.
geography
The municipality is located in the Causse countryside , south of the Causse du Comtal , around eight kilometers northeast of Rodez . The neighboring municipalities of La Loubière are:
- Toboggan in the north,
- Montrozier in the east,
- Agen-d'Aveyron in the southeast,
- Sainte-Radegonde in the south,
- Rodez in the southwest,
- Onet-le-Château to the west and
- Sébazac-Concourès to the northwest (with an enclave to the northeast).
The place La Loubière is on the left bank of the Aveyron river , the northern municipality is still in the area of influence of the karst area of the Causse and therefore has hardly any water on the surface.

The municipality is crossed by the railway line from Rodez to Sévérac-le-Château . The closest train station is in Rodez .
The main traffic axis in road traffic is the national road 88 , which comes from Rodez, at Sévérac-le-Château connects to the motorway 75 . Regional traffic is largely handled via Départementsstraße 988, which leads from Rodez via Lioujas to Bouzols .
