Saliha Scheinhardt (born April 23, 1946 in Konya / Turkey ) is a Turkish - German writer .

Life

Saliha Scheinhardt comes from a strictly Muslim family and grew up in Anatolia . In 1967 she came to Bremen with her fiancé, the German theology student Hartwig Scheinhardt , where the civil marriage took place in 1968 . Saliha Scheinhardt initially worked in the textile industry , as a waitress and stewardess . After she had obtained the higher education entrance qualification on the second educational path , she completed a teaching degree at the University of Education in Göttingen from 1971 . From 1975 to 1978 she worked as a secondary school teacher; From 1978 to 1981 she worked as a research assistant in a research project at the Neuss University of Education on Turkish working-class families. Their marriage ended in divorce in 1982. 1985 doctorate them with an Islamic studies work at the University of Education Karlsruhe to the doctor of philosophy . In the following years Scheinhardt published numerous articles on the situation of Turkish women in the Federal Republic of Germany ; in addition, she also came out with narrative works.
