Salmo pelagonicus is a species from the family of Salmonidae (Salmonidae) provided in the region of the lower Vardar and upper Aliakmona in Macedonia and Greece occurs.
features
Salmo pelagonicus reaches a length of up to 30 centimeters, with the body height making up 24–28% of the standard length. The flanks have black spots especially in the upper half and pale pink to orange spots along the lateral line organ and below that, which are more numerous than the black spots in the rear area of the flank. The crack in the mouth extends beyond the rear edge of the eye.
Way of life
The species colonizes mountain streams. Almost nothing is known about the further way of life.
