Salvatore Spinelli
Salvatore Spinelli OSBCas (born June 9, 1746 in Naples , † January 8, 1805 ibid) was an Italian Roman Catholic clergyman, Bishop of Lecce and Archbishop of Salerno .
Life
He came from the family of the Marchesi di Fuscaldo . He received the sacrament of ordination on June 18, 1769.
On June 13, 1779 he was appointed Bishop of Catanzaro . He was ordained bishop on July 18 of the same year by Cardinal Lazzaro Opizio Pallavicini ; Co-consecrators were Archbishop Stefano Evodio Assemani and the Bishop of Mileto , Giuseppe Maria Carafa CR . On March 26, 1792, Salvatore Spinelli was transferred to the episcopal see of Lecce and on December 18, 1797 he was made Archbishop of Salerno.
