Sam Jones III (* 29. April 1983 in Boston , Massachusetts , as Samuel L. Jones III ) is an American actor , known for his role as Pete Ross in the television series Smallville .

Life

Sam Jones III is the son of basketball player Sam Jones II of the Boston Celtics . As a child, Jones appeared in commercials. After spending a summer vacation in Los Angeles , he decided to become an actor. Shortly after graduating from high school, he moved to Hollywood to become an actor. In his spare time he likes to play basketball.

In October 2009, Jones was arrested by the DEA on charges of conspiracy and planning to deal 10,000 oxycodone tablets on charges relating to major drug deals between April and July 2008. The maximum possible sentence is up to 20 years in prison Federal prison . Jones pleaded guilty and was found guilty in December 2010. In June 2011 he was sentenced to one year imprisonment followed by three years probation.

Since 2010, Jones is said to have had a relationship with the American model Karissa Shannon , with whom he had published a sex tape.

Career

Before long, Jones had guest appearances on television series such as New York Cops - NYPD Blue , For All Cases, Amy, and CSI: On The Trail Of The Criminals . His breakthrough came in 2001 with the role of Clark Kent's best friend Pete Ross in the series Smallville . He played this leading role in the first three seasons as well as for a guest appearance in the seventh season.

In the hit series Emergency Room , Jones played the recurring role of Charlie 'Chaz' Pratt Jr. from 2005 to 2009. Even though Jones mostly plays in television series, he also had roles in films, including Spiel auf Sieg .

In 2010 he had a leading role in the first season of the series Blue Mountain State in which he played the athlete Craig Shilo . He was removed from the series because of his drug arrest. In 2010 he played in an episode in the lawyer series The Defenders the role of a casual dealer wrongly accused of violent assault.

In the 2016 film Blue Mountain State: The Rise of Thadland , he returned to his role as "Craig Shilo".
