Sander Drobela

Sander Drobela (born August 21, 1931 in Dresden ; † May 1, 2010 ) was a German journalist .

The trained typesetter Drobela studied from 1953 to 1955 at the party college "Karl Marx" , from which he graduated as a social scientist. From 1961 he was editor-in-chief of the SED district organ Sächsische Zeitung in Dresden . In 1965 he received his doctorate in collaboration with Werner boiler for Dr. rer. pole. with the dissertation The role of conception in profiling the district newspapers of the SED at the Karl Marx University in Leipzig . From 1966 to 1989 he was deputy editor-in-chief of the SED central organ New Germany . Drobela was a member of the central board of the Association of Journalists of the GDR .

In 1968 he received the Patriotic Order of Merit in bronze. Most recently residing in Straach .

Drobela found his final resting place in 2010 in the FriedWald Gartenreich Dessau-Wörlitz near Oranienbaum .
