Sandro Zanetti

Sandro Zanetti (* 1974 ) is a Swiss literary scholar .

Life

Zanetti studied German literature , history and philosophy in Basel , Freiburg and Tübingen and was from 2008 to 2011 assistant professor of modern German literature - with a focus on production aesthetics of modernism and postmodernism - at the University of Hildesheim . From 2010 to 2014 he headed the DFG network "Improvisation and Invention: Finding Arts, Inventory Techniques, Idea Machines", which examined "in individual studies the interrelationship between improvisation and invention processes in literary and artistic projects from the early modern period to the present". From 2015 to 2019 he headed the SNSF project "The Dada Generation after 1945. Avant-gardism and Modernity in Post-War Literature".

Zanetti has been Professor of General and Comparative Literature (AVL) at the University of Zurich since 2011 , first as an assistant professor (2011–2015), and since 2015 as an associate professor. He is also a member of the Center for the History of Knowledge (ZGW) and the Center for Arts and Cultural Theory (ZKK). Since 2016 he has been co-editor of the online magazine Geschichte der Gegenwart .

Zanetti's research focuses on writing process research , poetry from the 18th century to the present day, media and literary theory, and avant-garde art and literature .
