description

Sansevieria nilotica grows stemless as a perennial, succulent plant with approximately 1.9 centimeters thick rhizomes . The two to three ribbon-shaped succulent leaves are gradually narrowed in a stalk that is 30.5 to 61 centimeters long and runny. The simple leaf blade is 91 to 122 inches long and 2.5 to 5.7 inches wide. They are clearly marked with numerous adjacent irregular and zigzagging narrow, dark or lighter green transverse bands. These end in a 4.2 to 16.9 millimeter long, awl and soft spade tip. The edge of the spread is green. The leaf surface is smooth.

The simple, spiked inflorescences are 53 to 76 centimeters high. The panicles are 30 to 46 centimeters long and loosely occupied with four to ten flowers in the lower part and with two to three flowers in the upper part per cluster. The bracts are lanceolate and pointed and 4.2 to 10.6 millimeters long. The flower stalk is 7.4 to 12.7 millimeters long. The bracts are white. They have a flower tube that is 0.95 to 1.06 centimeters long.
