The Santa Clarita Valley is the valley of the Santa Clara River in Southern California . It stretches from Los Angeles County to Ventura County . Furthermore, part of the valley to the 19,672 ha large Rancho San Francisco .
Below Santa Clarita it is called Heritage Valley and above it is called Soledad Canyon . Vincent , Acton , Ravenna and Agua Dulce are in the canyon area .
The Santa Clarita Valley is bordered by Lake Piru , Los Padres National Forest and Castaic Lake in the northwest, the Sierra Pelona Mountains and the Angeles National Forest in the north and northeast, the San Gabriel Mountains in the east and southeast, the Santa Susana Mountains in the South and southwest as well as with the Santa Clara River Valley to the west. In the southern part of the valley, the Newhall Pass forms the connection to the neighboring San Fernando Valley . In addition to this, there are other connections to other valleys such as the Santa Clara River Valley via California State Route 126 . The Interstate 5 forms the connection to the northern San Joaquin Valley after the Interstate to Pyramid Lake and the Frazier Park has passed.
