The Neumann Kaffee Gruppe from Hamburg took over the coffee fazenda Da Lagoa with 3,404 hectares near Santo Antônio do Amparo in February 2003 and has been expanding it since then.

  • Hélio de Carvalho Garcia (born March 16, 1931 in Santo Antônio do Amparo) is a Brazilian politician in Minas Gerais. He was lieutenant governor in 1983 and 1984 and governor from 1984 to 1985 and from 1991 to 1994. After that he was mayor of Belo Horizonte .
  • Marcus Aguiar, also: Marquinho Brasileiro , started as a web designer in 1997 and won several national and international prizes for his visual and media communication work for Fiat, Usiminas, Telemig Celular, Yamaha Motors, Ibmec, Jota Quest, Brasil Telecom, Globo Minas, Unimed, Vale do Rio Doce, Coca-Cola and others.
