Life
Blackwood was born in the Canadian city of Burlington. She had her first appearances at the age of 27 with the psychobilly band The Creepshow . There she initially represented her sister, Jennifer Blackwood, who had to take a break due to pregnancy. Initially, it was planned that Jennifer should return to the band. But that didn't happen and Sarah became a permanent member of the band. In 2008 she released her debut album Way Back Home , as well as her first album Run For Your Life with The Creepshow. In 2010 her solo album Wasting Time and They All Fall Down followed with her band. In 2012 she left The Creepshow and joined the indie band Walk off the Earth , also from Ontario . She became internationally known in 2012 through a video that was published on the Internet platform YouTube . In the video, Blackwood and her band covered the song Somebody That I Used to Know by Belgian singer Gotye . In 2013 the album REVO followed. In the same year Blackwood appeared as a guest singer on the song Lonesome Rider by the Danish metal band Volbeat . With Sing It All Away , she released her second studio album with Walk off the Earth in June 2015.
