Sarah Butler (born February 11, 1985 in Tacoma , Washington ) is an American actress , best known for her lead role in Rape-and-Revenge - Remake I Spit on Your Grave (2010).

life and career

Sarah Butler grew up in Puyallup , a suburb of her hometown. Already in her childhood she was artistically active, working as a choir singer and also took part in singing competitions. In addition, she also played in amateur theaters and before that she gained further acting experience at her high school, Governor John R. Rogers High School in Puyallup. Since she was anxious to live in a large city like New York or Los Angeles from an early age in order to start a career as a film and television actress there, she finally made the leap to Los Angeles in 2003. She received the Puyallup Fair Scholarship for the Arts , a kind of drama and arts scholarship that was endowed with one thousand US dollars . Since she was not admitted to New York University , she eventually used her scholarship for the University of Southern California . While she was able to gain professional acting experience there, she also played Princess Belle from Beauty and the Beast at Disneyland in Anaheim for a year and a half . After a while she decided to drop out of her studies because she no longer saw any real sense in it all, although at first she only expected a longer break from her studies. Some time later she decided to return to acting and therefore took part in various auditions.

With a talent agency and his own agent, Butler finally made the leap into the film and television business and was seen for the first time in a production worth mentioning in 2004. After a role in Love's a Trip , it took almost three years before she was used again in a well-known production. In the film A Couple of White Chicks at the Hairdresser, she acted as the assistant to Marc Gavin , who was played by Harry Shearer in the film . Also in 2007 there was another role as Jenny in the short film Tobias_427 . Their real breakthrough came, however, only a year later, when she, among others, in Syfy - TV movie Flu Bird Horror took a starring role and also still in three episodes of the web series Luke 11:17 , when Don Stark to see acted as director, was. After it was used in an episode of CSI: Miami in the same year and in an episode of CSI: NY the following year , it was also seen in four episodes of I <3 Vampires in 2009 and 2010 . Her most important work to date was finally published in 2010. She took over the lead role of Jennifer Hills in the rape and revenge remake I Spit on Your Grave , a new version of the 1978 film known in German-speaking countries under the name Ich spuck auf dein Grab , and acted in its sequel I Spit on Your Grave 3 (2015) again in this role.
