Sarah Jane Scott (born March 23, 1988 in Honesdale , Pennsylvania ) is an American pop singer .

Career

Sarah Jane Scott was born and raised in Honesdale, Pennsylvania as the daughter of a pilot and an anesthetist . Her older brother works as a film critic.

Early on, Scott developed the desire to become a singer. At the age of three she made her first recordings in her father's hobby studio, she sang in a children's choir and at the age of seven she began taking piano lessons. For her tenth birthday, she wanted a guitar , but got a ukulele because her parents thought her fingers were too small for a guitar.

After graduating from high school, she studied “Professional Music” for four years at the Berklee College of Music in Boston. She financed her studies, which she started as a particularly talented student, through membership in a cover band and in a women's folk band and graduated with distinction in 2010. Shortly before graduation, she met the German musician Cecil Remmler , with whom she made a spontaneous move to Europe . The couple married in early 2018.

Cecil Remmler is the eldest son of the German singer, composer and producer Stephan Remmler . When Scott sang German hits at a private birthday party , Stephan Remmler recognized her musical potential and decided to work with her. In the following three years he composed and produced an album of hit music for Scott. Scott had used pop music to learn the German language and had taken a liking to the genre that was unknown to her.

The debut album I look you in the eye was released in April 2016 by Sony Music . Sarah Jane Scott made her first television appearance on April 16, 2016 in the program Das große Schlagerfest with Florian Silbereisen . After presenting her debut single Hallo hallo , she sang a hit medley with Silbereisen. Numerous others followed this appearance on radio and television. Scott's second album So much followed in 2017 , which was again created in close collaboration with Stephan Remmler.

Sarah Jane Scott lives with her husband in Berlin .
