Sargis Martirosjan (born September 14, 1986 in Armenia ) is an Austrian weightlifter .

Life

Martirosjan was born in Armenia and moved to Austria in 2005. In 2009 the national weightlifting association tried to give him Austrian citizenship so that he could take part in various competitions for Austria. This attempt was not successful until 2014. He qualified for the 2016 Summer Olympics , where he finished 11th in the weight class up to 105 kilograms. He lives in Baden near Vienna .
