Sargon Boulus
Sargon Boulus (* 1944 in al-Habbaniyya , Iraq ; † October 22, 2007 in Berlin ) was an Iraqi - Assyrian poet and writer of short stories.
In 1967 he worked as a journalist and translator in Beirut . He emigrated to the USA and lived in San Francisco since 1968 . Boulus studied comparative literature at the University of California at Berkeley and sculpture at Skyline College in San Bruno . His work has appeared in various Arabic magazines and he has translated works by WS Merwin , Allen Ginsberg , Gary Snyder , Michael McClure , and others.
