Sascha Baker

Sascha Bäcker (born August 1, 1979 in Siegen ) is a former German soccer player and current coach . He has been under contract as an assistant trainer at TuS Erndtebrück since 2013 .

Career

He began his football career at SG Siegen-Giersberg, then VfB 07 Weidenau , and in 1992 he moved to the C youth team of Sportfreunde Siegen , for which he played as a center / full-back until 2006. During this time he rose under coach Gerhard Noll with the second team of the SF Siegen in the senior division from the regional league to the association league and from the association league to the upper league. Bäcker had his first appearance in the regional league with the first team of Sportfreunde in the 2001/02 season against TSG Hoffenheim under coach Ingo Peter . This was followed by another 66 missions before he made it to the second Bundesliga in 2005. He made 16 appearances in the second division and in 2002 played a game in the DFB Cup against Rot-Weiß Oberhausen. For professional reasons he moved to 1. FC Kaan-Marienborn in 2006 .

In the 2007/08 season, the team with Bäcker as a top performer made it to the national league as champions, he played every competitive game of the season. Right at the beginning of the 2008/09 season, Bäcker tore a cruciate ligament and was out most of the season. 1. FC Kaan-Marienborn concluded the 2009/10 season with Sascha Bäcker as champions of the regional league season 2 and thus rose to the Westphalia league for the new season . There he initially only had a heel spur treated with injections and medication so that he could continue to play. Later on, there were repeated inflammations that could not be removed by surgery. In the 2012/13 season, Bäcker did not play a single game for 1. FC Kaan-Marienborn and ended his career in the summer of 2013. He then signed a two-year contract as assistant coach to Florian Schnorrenberg at TuS Erndtebrück in the Oberliga Westfalen .

Bäcker works as an automobile salesman and lives in Dahlbruch .
