Florian Schnorrenberg (born April 16, 1977 in Siegen ) is a German football coach . He is currently the head coach of Halleschen FC .

Player career

At the age of 26 he took over the coaching position at his hometown club VfB Burbach in the district league, from 2005 he was active for TuS Erndtebrück , which he left in 2007 for family reasons for SV Ottfingen . In January 2009, the trained industrial manager moved from Ottfingen to the Westphalia league club TSV Weißtal; In 2010 he left the club to switch to TuS Erndtebrück II as a player- coach .

Coaching career

Schnorrenberg began his coaching career as a player-coach at VfB Burbach when he took over the position during the 2004/05 season. For the 2010/11 season he worked for the second team of TuS Erndtebrück , with whom he managed to march through from the district to the association league within two years.

For the 2012/13 season he became the club's sporting director and assistant coach to Peter Cestonaro for the first team . In July 2013, he rose as his successor to head coach. After finishing fifth in the 2013/14 league season , Schnorrenberg led TuS as league champions in 2015 for the first time in the fourth division. But the team was relegated again after only one year in the Regionalliga West . However, he succeeded in direct promotion back to the top league championship in 2016/17 , and he successfully passed his soccer teacher exam in March 2017 . Also this time the relegation did not succeed. In the summer of 2018, Schnorrenberg prematurely terminated his contract, which was originally valid until 2019. Within five years he had led the club as a coach and sporting director in personal union twice in the fourth-class regional league and three times in the first main round of the DFB-Pokal .

On October 17, 2018, Schnorrenberg became the new head coach at third division SG Sonnenhof Großaspach and thus successor to Sascha Hildmann . His contract was valid until June 30, 2020 and only for the 3rd division. On May 6, 2019, Schnorrenberg was relieved of his duties as head coach after a 2-1 defeat at Karlsruher SC two game days before the end of the season, at that time the club was third from bottom of the table and was one point behind a non-relegation place.

Following the 31st match day of the third division 2019/20 season , the Westphalian took over the post of head coach at Halleschen FC as the successor to Ismail Atalan , who was released from work his contract is initially valid until the end of the season and can be extended if relegation occurs. The team previously won none of the last 15 competitive games and is in a relegation battle.
