Jan Rafael Scherbakowski ( Belarusian Жан Рафаэль Шчарбакоўскі Shan Rafael Shtscharbakouski ; born March 24, 2001 in Mahiljou ) is a Belarusian- German football player . The right midfielder is under contract with Halleschen FC and is a young Belarusian national player.

Career

Scherbakowski began playing soccer at the SFC Stern 1900 in Berlin when he was five . After two years at Hertha 03 Zehlendorf , he returned to Stern 1900 for one season in 2011 and was finally accepted as a D-youth in the Hertha BSC youth training center . With the club's B youth team, the midfielder was second in the North / Northeast season in 2018 , which narrowly missed out on the championship finals, and played 21 games of the season for them (one goal, two assists). In the following season , however, Scherbakowski did not play a competitive game in the U19.

In the summer of 2019, the Belarusian moved to Halleschen FC , who used him in his A-youth. As part of the winter preparation of the professional team, Scherbakowski took part in their training camp in January 2020 and was used in a test match against FC Zurich . In the second third division season game after the winter break, the offensive player started under head coach Torsten Ziegner in a 3: 4 against Viktoria Köln and also played a little later in the quarter-finals from Halles in the Saxony-Anhalt Cup . At the beginning of May 2020, Scherbakowski's expiring contract was extended to June 2022.

National team

Scherbakowski has been playing for Belarus' U19s since summer 2019 .
