In his youth, the striker initially played for Bulacher SC . He played for Karlsruher SC for 13 years from the E-Jugend . On May 12, 2007 he came to his first assignment in the Regionalliga Süd when he was substituted on for the game at SC Pfullendorf . By the end of 2008, 41 more missions followed, in which he scored nine goals for Karlsruher SC.

In the winter break of the 2008/09 season he moved to league competitor TSV 1860 Munich II , for whom he was used for the first time on March 15, 2009 in the first game after the winter break. A week later he made his professional debut at the game at SpVgg Greuther Fürth . Coach Uwe Wolf had called him into the squad for the away game because the other strikers were injured or sapped. Fetsch came on in the 83rd minute and thus came on for his first appearance in the 2nd Bundesliga . Another brief assignment followed a few weeks later. For the U23 in the Regionalliga, he played 13 games in this second half of the season, in which he scored five goals. In the 2009/10 season he was not part of the professional squad. He played 33 games in the Regionalliga , in which he scored twelve times. In the last game of the season against SSV Reutlingen , he scored three goals.

In the summer of 2010, Fetsch left TSV 1860 and signed a two-year contract with Eintracht Braunschweig in the 3rd division . In 2010/11 he became champion with Eintracht and rose to the second Bundesliga. After the 2011/12 season , his contract term was no longer extended and Fetsch moved to third division Kickers Offenbach , where he was most recently team captain .

For the 2013/14 season , Fetsch moved to FC Augsburg . He signed a contract with the first division team until June 30, 2016. He made his Bundesliga debut in the 2-1 win against SC Freiburg on September 14, 2013. However, it was his only appearance in the first half of the season. In January 2014 Fetsch moved to the second division club FC Energie Cottbus on loan until June 30, 2016 . After Energie Cottbus was relegated, he moved back to FC Augsburg and was loaned to Dynamo Dresden for another year from the 2014/15 season. For the 2015/16 season he then moved permanently to Dynamo Dresden and received a contract that ran until June 30, 2016. His contract was terminated in January 2016. He moved to third division competitor Holstein Kiel on a free transfer , where he signed a contract that ran until June 30, 2017. With the rise of Holstein, the contract was extended to June 30, 2018. Despite the existing contract, Fetsch no longer played a role in Holstein Kiel's plans for the 2017/18 season .

At the beginning of July 2017 he moved to third division Hallescher FC .
