Sasha Weemaes (born February 9, 1998 in Sint-Niklaas ) is a Belgian cyclist who is active on the road and track .

Athletic career

In 2013 Sasha Weemaes was two-time Belgian youth champion in the individual time trial and in road racing. The following year he again won the youth title in the individual time trial and took six youth titles on the track. In 2016 he drove in the junior division and won three titles on the track, in the youth division he was the Belgian team time trial champion .

In the U23 European Championships in Portugal Sangalhos Weemaes was together with tanning Thijssen , Robbe Ghys and Vylder Lindsay De vice-U23 European champion in the team pursuit. In the following year he was nominated for the European Railway Championships in Berlin , where he finished eighth in the team pursuit together with Kenny De Ketele , Moreno De Pauw and Gerben Thijssen.

In 2018 Sasha Weemaes became Belgian U23 champion in the individual time trial, after having finished second in the ZLM Tour shortly before . In the following year, she finished second in the team pursuit at the U23 European Championships together with Fabio Van den Bossche , Gerben Thijssen and Robbe Ghys .
